Recently I have moved to a new city like I have posted earlier. In this city live over 40.000 students. Best part of being a student is budget shopping. Especially when it’s about groceries.
In the center of the city is a market, three times a week. If you go around the end of the day they almost give away their products for free. These strawberries were only 1 Euro. Normally in the supermarket you pay at least 3 to 4 Euro for them. Insane.
They’re pretty tiny, but absolutely delicious. I have a preference for fruit and vegetables from the market. They don’t need to be of perfect shape, that’s only costing more and tons will be destroyed. It doesn’t make any sense to throw away food only because it’s too small or too big.

I consider strawberries a luxury since I moved out. The market is about 30 minutes away and it’s difficult to go if you’re still in college. Going to the supermarket isn’t really an option either.
In these pictures I put them on a biscuit. In Dutch these are called ‘beschuitjes’. They are light for your stomach, which is perfect if I don’t feel like eating in the morning. I never really enjoy eating bread at 7 AM. Way too damn early.
What is your favorite breakfast?

aaaaah yummie :3
Pain perdu, nomnomnom ^_^
Oehh, heerlijk!!
ohjum, heerlijk!
Ah, zo super lekker! Dat ga ik zeker deze week eens als ontbijt doen!
Liefs, Maruschka
Hmmm goed plan :D
Delicious!

I so agree with you! I always chose farmers’ market when I can. They grow these vegetables, fruits and berries with their own hands without using any chemicals. I’m also very happy that my parents grow some vegetables and apples so I can always get something to eat from their garden.
And you’re also right about the breakfast. I hate eating early in the morning. My stomach is never ready for food at 7 am. A thing that helps me to get rid of the morning sickness is a glass of water right after getting out of bed. :)
ps. beautiful pictures!
Oh that’s fantastic! My parents don’t have a big garden, and I don’t have a garden at all! Only a balcony, which is pretty unusual for a student as well xD
I have a bottle of water next to my bed 24/7. But it doesn’t help me enough once I have to eat. I still get very sick if I have to eat bread.
